Louise Holt
Heritage Consultant
Louise has experience in historical, community and Indigenous archaeology. She has experience in carrying out research, excavation and undertaking surface surveys on historical and Indigenous archaeological sites.
Louise is a cultural heritage management graduate and her masters research focussed on the adaptive reuse of church buildings in Adelaide. She has worked as a heritage consultant/archaeologist and as a technical officer in the archaeology department at Flinders University, South Australia.
Prior to joining Context in 2011, Louise worked with Australian Cultural Heritage Management providing support and management in the conduct of archaeological surveys in South Australia and Western Australia. She has experience in working on site with Traditional Owners and in the production of archaeological reports and site cards.
At Flinders University Louise provided technical support in surveying, excavation and photography for academic staff. She undertook desk based research and assisted with teaching activities including demonstration in the use of field equipment.
Louise has also worked for English Heritage on the Images of England Project, maintaining photographic and written records for the National Monuments Record Centre. She has contributed photographic images for publications.
