Budj Bim World Heritage Symposium
Standing on the water’s edge, watching Joseph Saunders (Chair, GMTOAC) cast his net. An ancient practice, alive again at a Lake Condah brimming with water. This was one of many highlights of the 3 day Budj Bim World Heritage Symposium, held by Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation (GMTOAC) in Heywood (Vic) in June.
The goal was to explore the potential for a World Heritage listings for an aquaculture landscape focused on lake Condah in far south western Victoria.
