Nobelius Heritage Park Strategic Conservation Plan

Nobelius Heritage Park is close to the centre of Emerald township (Victoria) and is an important reminder of the once extensive Gembrook nurseries run by Carl Axel Nobelius from 1886-1921. Melbourne’s much-loved Puffing Billy Railway runs beside the Park.
Context assessed cultural heritage values through community consultation and developed a conservation policy to guide future management of Nobelius Heritage Park. This policy has been designed to feed into a series of self-contained action plans which Cardinia Shire Council can implement in stages as funding becomes available.
